If they are not ready and you are not ready, all that might just collapse when the pressure comes. So many a times, we begin to try to accomplish things with the power of people around you. We like things happening overnight but it is important to see that we grow in God’s maturity before we see everything around us being impacted. Do Not Expect an Overnight Buildingįoundation is so important. Giving time to ministry does not mean you take away their space, time or even ‘money’. That is why, we have so many divorces among leaders and we see pastor’s kids who hate ministry because they missed a father’s role over their life. Sadly, one of the greatest mistakes you can make is to keep your ministry above your family. Here are few things that you need to keep in mind when you are excited for the Kingdom of God. They have a mighty passion for Jesus that makes them go all out!īut, being in the ministry for 17 long years, I have also seen few of those genuine people get greatly disappointed. You will see them in church much earlier before the service begins and they are mostly the last to leave. They are waiting to see things happen they are the ones that are excited about that one soul which got saved. But there are some of them who are genuine folks who really want to see the Kingdom of God blessed. We have plenty of people who laze around and plenty of people who are all about themselves. Begin to push your boundaries on a daily basis and move slowly in the direction of your goals. These characteristics are developed intentionally by the wise, not endowed upon a lucky few. Ready to hear the greatest motivator?Īny of us can become a go-getter if we choose.
This person will go the distance in any undertaking and will not stop until they’ve accomplished something worthwhile. He or she knows mistakes are inevitable, so he welcomes them and learns as much as possible from each one. They know the real work begins the first time you’re tempted to throw in the towel.įailure is the best form of feedback for the go-getter. Even on days when motivation runs low or pessimism creeps in, they put their heads down and get their hands dirty. Quitting is never an option when the go-getter is pursuing something he or she really loves. They experience fear just like everyone else, but they learned a long time ago to do what they are afraid to do. No space is available in the mind of a go-getter for timidity. They realize the importance of choosing friends carefully and seek out mutually encouraging relationships. They have solid mentorship and surround themselves with like-minded, ambitious people. Go-getters are passionate about what they do and are excited to work on something they care about. No one has ever realized greatness doing something that didn’t fire them up. They pat themselves on the back each day for small achievements. They don’t motivate themselves by focusing on some magical celebration at the end of the road. They understand that mastery of any craft entails daily practice. They put in time (even if it’s just a wee bit) each day to move closer to their long-term goals. Even when it seems like a great day to skip out.
However, so long as one is appreciating one’s journey, goals and dreams can serve as lanterns upon the horizon, guiding us in a direction that is in line with our bliss, our souls. Go-getters have a guiding vision.Įven when they don’t feel the best. Ticking goals off of a list is meaningless if one is not enjoying the process.
